Hello everybody!

How do I set up htick to auto create file areas? I found on the manual that I have to set up for each link

If I remove those lines and revert back to the original config, it says the file was processed but it is not even unpacked.

My bad. The correct syntax is of course what Jay just told. From my config:

filefixAutoCreate off
filefixAutoCreateFile /bbs/husky/fileareas.inc

I added into config file: FilefixAutoCreateFile /usr/local/fido/fidoconfig/fileareas.auto but it doesn't create any area inside fileareas.auto

Strange. Maybe you need the line "filefixAutoCreateDefaults" too?

Try to run htick with maximum logging to see what happens.

But as you can see, the file is coming from 86:70/0, which is not defined as a link in your fidoconf.

I suspect maybe they are using their "region" net/node number to create the
TIC and/or their tic software is defaulting to the first Zone 86 AKA it
finds. I think you can change your config to receive from 86:70/0 and it should work?

This should already be resolved at this end. You can edit the .tic file to correct the from address from 86:70/0 to 86:700/1, and it should process just fine.
