• hpt question re: netmail

From Dumas Walker@1337:3/103 to ALL on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 10:14:11
If I am in multiple zones, and am using jam message bases, will I be able
to use one netmail area in hpt (provided that my BBS software allows it),
or would I need to set up a separate netmail area for each network?

The docs make me think I can maybe use one (which I would prefer) but I am confused (by some BBS sofware that uses multiple areas) and want to be sure that is not a limitation of jam that would cause me to need to set up
    multiple netmail areas with hpt.

    Thanks!

I ran Squish for many years with Maximus, and there was a third party
app that could take a unified netmail area and move/rewrite netmails to
the appropriate zone-specific netmail area based on the destination
zone. Maybe there's something similar for JAM if it doesn't support
    unified netmail?

If JAM (or hpt) didn't support it, I'd be willing to go without it but it
would be nice if it did.

Thanks for the response! Also realized that I could ask the question in
the HUSKY echo, which I have now done. ;)
